Mission Statement

Taylor County Adventure Club's mission is to manage the development, operations, and maintenance of lifelong leisure and recreational opportunities for the citizens and visitors of Taylor County. The Adventure Club will also assist local communities in accomplishing their individual goals for improving the health and wellness of their present populations and future generations.

 

What We Do:

  • Lazy River

  • Kayak Rentals

  • Stand Up Paddle Board Rentals

  • RV Park & Campground

  • Promote tourism

  • Develop our Parks and Recreation Program

  • Work with local youth sport groups

  • Afterschool Programs & Summer Programs in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math

  • Work with communities to upgrade, maintain and build new parks and playgrounds

  • Taps on the Tygart Micro Brewery Festival

  • Boob's & Tubes Breast Cancer Outreach Fundraiser

  • WV All Roads Bicycling Championship

  • Off The Beaten Path Jeep, Side by Side and ATV trail rides, Car, Truck and Motorcycle Shows

  • Build new bike and hiking trails throughout Taylor County

We were created through a collaborative effort between Project HOP2E, All Aboard Grafton, Save The Tygart Watershed Association, Grafton-Taylor County Health Department, WV Community Development Hub, Try This WV, , Planned Approach to Community Health, WVU Reed College of Media, WVU Extension, the City of Grafton and the Mountaineer Country CVB.

 

We have come together to bring fun-filled physical activity to Taylor County and help build our Outdoor Recreational Economy.
